Applaud the Beginner

Bill FitzPatrick - Founder of the "American Success Institute".

Action Principle No.20 >> Applaud the Beginner, You walk into a karate school for a first visit and see kicking, punching, blocking, chopping and flipping. It can be intimidating if you've never done these things. Or, you may look and feel awkward learning to snow ski or rollerblade or taking a foreign language. But persist; this is your first day and there will never be another first day.
Any new endeavor may be tough in the beginning. Accept this. You must believe in yourself. Initially, critics may feel free to ridicule your ideas and goals as foolish and unrealistic. When you ultimately succeed, everyone will claim to have been on your team from the beginning. Take action and persist. Applaud those who try, because the first step is often the toughest. Welcome the newcomer.

The key to finding opportunity

Ron Davis - Financial adviser.

Property Tips, One of the most difficult aspects of being a home owner is changing with the times. Trends in technology and architecture move rapidly, often forcing home owners to constantly remodel and update their homes just to stay current with other similar homes in the same area. A sudden change in styles can make a once modern house seem old and stale, possibly adversely affecting a home's value. However, there is one aspect to a piece of real estate that is largely immune to the temporary ups and downs in the market and the changing of style-location.
By selecting a home with a great location, your real estate property will have a timeless quality that will appeal to buyers for years to come.
When selecting a location, it is always essential that you look at the house itself in context to the actual land layout. A simple, modest home may be right for a small suburban neighborhood, but may not fit in as well in an area filled with larger land tracks. Likewise, a large, ostentatious home would be a great fit where land is plentiful. Finding the right combination of home and location will take some time, but the extra effort will be worth it in the end.
For some buyers, a location in high demand is an obvious and wise investment. A location with 'heat' will be able to weather whatever market bumps may occur. With the ease and popularity of do-it-yourself home remodeling, many buyers are ready to redesign a home immediately upon moving in. Since most property owners like to put their own unique stylistic mark on a home, the actual layout of the home will often be secondary to the factors that cannot be changed, such as location.
For those in the real estate market, sometimes a long term vision may suit them well. While a home location may not be particularly attractive at the moment, it is important to look at developments in the area that may be on the horizon. Areas due for redevelopment may experience a rise in potential buyers. Today's bargain may be tomorrow's goldmine if they are surrounding the real estate property ends up growing or expanding.
So what is the right location? The proper answer is whatever the potential buyer think is right keeping in mind all the perspectives. It is essential when buying a piece of property to tour the outlying areas. Is the location close to schools or shopping malls? Is the commute time to large business areas manageable? Airports in the area may be attractive to some buyers, but getting a home too close to a major airport can either be a disaster or a gigantic bargain.
An experienced real estate agent will give you fair idea and help you find the location that best suits your needs. It can be a short term investment or a long term stay. Does your research examine your needs? Do consult a well-respected real estate agent before you dive in. Remember, the three most important aspects to real estate are location, location, and location.

Let Go of Your Fear

Bo Sanchez - Spiritual preacher and Motivational speaker.

Ralph Marston - Let life flow, Life will flow easily and gracefully when you simply allow it. Choose right now to simply allow it.
Allow the problems to come and then allow them to go just as quickly. Peacefully accept the disappointments and you'll have no trouble with peacefully letting them go.
Accept the joys without worrying about clinging to them. They will always be with you if you simply let them be.
Stop fighting against what is, and you'll clearly see how to make the most of it. Welcome each new experience and you'll quickly find the value it brings.
Leave the worries and anxieties behind, for they add nothing to your life. Be at peace, and you will feel the fullness of your power.
Allow the rich abundance to flow naturally and unhindered through your life. And delight in the fulfillment that is yours to create.

There's no good reason to let the challenges get you down. Choose instead to be energized and motivated by them.
Life is a grand adventure. You wouldn't want it to come too easily.
You have all sorts of wonderful skills and abilities. Relish the opportunities to put them to the test and to make them even stronger.

Compounding interest

How to make money work for you.

Compounding interest, is the concept of adding accumulated interest back to the principal, so that interest is earned on interest from that moment on. The act of declaring interest to be principal is called compounding (i.e., interest is compounded). A loan, for example, may have its interest compounded every month: in this case, a loan with $1000 principal and 1% interest per month would have a balance of $1010 at the end of the first month.
Interest rates must be comparable in order to be useful, and in order to be comparable, the interest rate and the compounding frequency must be disclosed. Since most people think of rates as a yearly percentage, many governments require financial institutions to disclose a (notionally) comparable yearly interest rate on deposits or advances. Compound interest rates may be referred to as Annual Percentage Rate, Effective interest rate, Effective Annual Rate, and by other terms. When a fee is charged up front to obtain a loan, APR usually counts that cost as well as the compound interest in converting to the equivalent rate. These government requirement assist consumers to more easily compare the actual cost of borrowing.
Compound interest rates may be converted to allow for comparison: for any given interest rate and compounding frequency, an "equivalent" rate for a different compounding frequency exists.

Accept Differences

Bill FitzPatrick - Founder of the "American Success Institute".

Action Principle No.17 >> Accept Differences, See each person as an individual and not as part of a group. All humans from all countries and cultures are equal without regard to race, color, creed or gender. Believe with confidence and trust that the vast majority of people whom you meet, befriend or do business with are more similar than different from you.
People are inherently good. Most people act in good faith. They mean you no harm and would assist you in time of need. Don't waste your time thinking otherwise. Do not become a party to rumor or gossip.
Reject stereotypes and the divisive and demeaning policies that group people into categories. Be the first to build bridges of tolerance and understanding.

Christmas Countdown

Christmas Time - Week 6 Special

The Essence of Christmas, The essence of Christmas is sharing and giving. For many people, there's what we call celebration where everyone's busy with parties and other social gatherings. For others, they can't feel the essence of Christmas without this spree.
But wait... Let us reflect and ask ourselves... Is that all what it takes to have a joyful Christmas? Celebration isn't bad; however, Christmas reminds us of God's love... so much love that He gave His only Son to save us. He gave all that He could to show us the reason to live. Let us treasure our lives and everyone else.
As we celebrate this season, as we eat and drink, as we savor the happiness being together with our loved ones, let us not forget that there are many parents today whose tears unnoticeably drop from their weary eyes while watching their children eating less or even nothing. Let us not forget that as we buy toys and new outfit for our children, there are children who need to be clothed and cared of. Let us not forget that as we bond together in the family, there are broken homes that need to be prayed for. These thoughts are what we call LOVE. Let's, therefore, give love not just this season but for as long as we live. Let's nurture that passion to love for without it, it is impossible to give and share. Let us also thank God for everything.

You are Special

Bo Sanchez - Spiritual preacher and Motivational speaker.

Ralph Marston - You are worthy, You are worthy of the best in life. It's not because anyone tells you so or gives you permission to be, but because you know deep down that you are.
You have every reason to feel great about the good and valuable things you have done. You have the ability to expand on that goodness, on that value, on your own special gifts.
Where you are is a very good place to be. For you are in a position to truly make a difference by expressing and fulfilling your most deeply held values and dreams.
Certainly things are not perfect, and your world is filled with difficult challenges. Yet there is real treasure hidden within those challenges, for you have what it takes to move successfully through them.
You know how great it feels to accomplish something positive and meaningful. Listen to that feeling, for it connects you to your purpose and your ability to do great things.
Whatever you can imagine, you are worthy of reaching. Choose to make everything in your life worthy of the unique and valuable person you are.

Pass the Test

Bill FitzPatrick - Founder of the "American Success Institute".

Action Principle No.16 >> Pass the Test, Life is a test and the points on that test are earned by how much attention you give to improving yourself and helping others. When your test is graded, to what will you attribute your success: study, hard work, personality, talent, skill, opportunity, connections, patronage or luck? No amount of material success earned and kept will be awarded credit. The greater your blessings, the greater your obligation to share your good fortune.
Use your special talents to serve the common good. Let your actions be motivated by a commitment to charity and justice. Be compassionate, kind and considerate. Free yourself from your attachment to things. Right now is the time to consider your blessings. Start scoring points.

Cause Change

Bill FitzPatrick - Founder of the "American Success Institute".

Action Principle No.15 >> Cause Change, The status quo may be comforting, but for there to be growth, there must be change. Since you seek growth, you must seek change. You must see yourself and your environment not only as it is, but also as it could and should be. You seek the changes necessary to reach the better you so that you can play your part in making a better world.
First, you change yourself. Can you change your day and spend more time with your family? Can you change your standard lunch routine and take a walk? Can you change your drive home and stop at a nursing home for twenty minutes and see someone who may have few visitors? Can you change your office habits and find the time to make five more phone calls? What are the possible consequences of not changing? Realize that many people don't make plans because they don't want to risk any change. Doing little with your life is much easier and safer than taking risks, but then you will be a small person. Instead, seek the changes which will allow you to be all that you can be.

Saving vs. Investing

How to make money work for you.

Saving and Investing, Most of us know how to spend the money but many do not know how to make use of money to work for them. Spending is not your only option when it comes to make the smart choices about using money. You can smartly combine Savings and Investing of your money to make your money work for you and help you to generate passive cash stream to your account.
Saving and investing are two different things. When you save you earn interest, when you invest, your money makes money. Saving is for the short term, investing is for the long term. When you combine saving and investing, you're not only setting money aside, you're also putting your money to work for you.
You create your emergency fund through savings. This fund is important to protect you if you lose or quit your job and need time to find a new job. An emergency fund is important to save you from any financial crisis and helps you to sleep well at night because you know you are prepared for what might happen.
After protecting your short-term needs through savings, you can grow a portion of your money for long-term needs or generating a steady stream of income to improve your living style. Here comes the importance of Investing. The main purpose of investing is to use money to make more money for you. Almost all investments have certain level of risk; in general. the higher the risk, the better the potential return. It's also means that the higher the risk, the higher the potential loses. You may need to take on additional level of risk in the exchange for a higher level of return than what you can earn in an ordinary savings account. That's why the combination of savings and investing works perfectly to make your money work for you through investing while protecting you from any financial disaster through savings.
When we talk about investing the money, commonly, it means that putting your money into the money markets. Money markets are really mutual funds of cash investments like U.S. Treasury bills, CDs (certificates of deposit), and cash, and are managed by professional money managers. Many investment companies that offer a money market account will waive your initial investment if you set a regular investment plan with them such as $25 or $50 per month. You can utilize this advantage to get your money market account open and put your money to work for you.
In Summary: Investing into money market gets you a higher return than savings accounts. It is a good way to use your money to make more money for you. While investing your money into the money market, you need to create your emergency funds in your savings account so that you are protected from any unexpected financial crisis.

Surround yourself with friends that will support you

Bo Sanchez - Spiritual preacher and Motivational speaker.

Colin Powell - Surround Yourself with Serious People, Organization doesn't really accomplish anything. Plans don't accomplish anything, either. Theories of management don't much matter. Endeavors succeed or fail because of the people involved. Only by attracting the best people will you accomplish great deeds.
Look for intelligence and judgment and, most critically, a capacity to anticipate, to see around corners. Also look for loyalty, integrity, a high-energy drive, a balanced ego and the drive to get things done. Surround yourelf with people who take their work seriously, but not themselves, those who work hard and play hard!.

Get Tough

Bill FitzPatrick - Founder of the "American Success Institute".

Action Principle No.14 >> Get Tough, Tough means that you are willing to stand tall and persevere. Even when your mind and body signal perfectly good reasons for giving up, you go on. This tough is obvious. But tough can be seen every day if we choose to look. Tough may be a patient undergoing cancer treatments or a single mother struggling to raise children. Tough can be an alcoholic ready to face rehab or an athlete living in a wheelchair. Tough can be rejecting false praise and honestly accepting you and your children for who and what you are. Tough is an ability to make the best from what you are given. Tough is making the decision to replace self-pity, complaints and dependence with self-reliance, independence and action.
You've got to be tough to do the big in life like taking risks, admitting mistakes, and changing bad habits. You've got to be tough to do the little things like biting your tongue, waiting your turn and putting up with fools. Self-reliance and self-confidence will demand your toughness. Then, you must temper toughness with kindness, realizing that many times it will be tough to be kind. Be kind anyway.

Christmas Countdown

christmas Time - Week 5 Special

The Essence of Christmas, Christmas is the most awaited moment of many Filipinos especially Overseas workers who are working far away from the Philippines. It is the time that we are longing to go back home and be with our loveones. Christmas symbolizes the unconditional love of God to us. The essence of Christmas should be always in our heart.

Don't Be Afraid To Fly

Ralph Marston - Dream big dreams.

Ralph Marston - Whatever may come, What can you do when the situation gets worse? You can improve.
Life throws many challenges at you. And you always can respond in a positive, effective way.
It is wise to plan for the future and to prepare for the future. Yet there is no need to worry about the future.
Because whatever the future may bring, you will find an answer for it.
Whatever events may transpire, you can craft a powerful and successful response that will move your life forward.
It may indeed be very difficult. And in transcending that difficulty, you have the opportunity to find great fulfillment.
Dream big dreams that resonate perfectly with who you are, and know that you will reach them. For whatever may come, you can make it work for you.

Risk Failure

Bill FitzPatrick - Founder of the "American Success Institute".

Action Principle No.13 >> Risk Failure, Be ready. There is no better time to start taking positive action than right now. You research and you have confidence in your preparations. You don't allow yourself to become paralyzed by indecision. You realize that a time comes when you must act. If you hesitate too long, doubts will linger and turn into fears. Yes, you may stumble. Yes, you may be rejected. Yes, you may fail. This is life. Life's winners accept that in trying they may have to adjust and even start again and again. The difference between successful people and others is not whether you make mistakes or even temporarily fail, but how you respond.
Many people look for quarantees before taking independent action. Yet, in seeking assurances, they frequently receive cautions, which can easily be used as excuses for inaction. Be aware that those who love you the most may be the loudest in warning you not to risk.

You're The Product of Your Thoughts

Bo Sanchez - Time Management.

8 Secrets of the Truly Rich - Chapter 6, Bo Sanchez, gave his insights.
You create your life.
When you choose your thoughts, you choose your psychology.
And when you choose your psychology, you choose your behavior.
And when you choose your behavior, you choose the consequences of that behavior. Which includes wealth, or poverty.
Bottomline, you create your wealth, and you create your poverty.
We do it.
So let me ask you: What kind of thoughts do you have?
Your thoughts have power.
They have power over your body.
They have power over your abilities.
They have power over your life.
What kind of choices have you made in your life?
Some of you might be saying right now, "Okay Bo. I'm going to create my own life starting now".
You got me wrong. You don't get it. This is an absolute law. You've been creating your life a long, long time ago. Even if you didn't know you were doing it. By the choices that you made in the past (even the choice of not choosing), you were creating your life.
You are where you are right now because of the choices you've made.

To Know Yourself Is To Know The World

Saint Joseph Institute of Technology - "Halibas, April" of Butuan City.

To Know Yourself Is to Know the World, The beauty of human love is expressed through communication - be in art, music, dance - all that is excellent and beautiful has come to more creative, the more beautiful.
Communication exist on all levels of life, not only in human relationship. Each has this gift of creativity; you must value it. The trouble is we don't recognize that we are creators.
A child's first communication is praised, but later a lot of negativity is expressed - "you shouldn't do this, you shouldn't do that, "and so on. The parent unknowingly stifle the creativity child's and give the child the feeling that he has nothing of any value to offer others. Actually, each one of us has something valuable to give. If i don't value myself or think that I have anything of value to give to another, then what comes out of my lips will be bitter, harsh and rough.
Communication not only reaches you; it also starts from within you; first I create and I express.
So how can I become selective in my creation? although a garden will have beautiful flowers, it will also have weeds. I decide I want to encourage flowers and discourage weeds, so I find out what I have to do and when i take action.
In the same way, I can look within my own mind. Do I see a beautiful garden or is it more of a jungle - a lot of thorns and dry trees that haven't been watered for a long time? These are two extremes and probably I am somewhere in between. The beautiful memories I am holding onto - things that are causing me pain and sorrow. If I still keep them lodged in my own consciousness, even if I don't want to say anything negative or hurtful, somehow or another it comes out. If there is any bitterness in my memory, no matter how long ago it was, it will influence my present communication with others. So it is very important, not only to prevent more thorns from growing, but also to look inside thorns from growing, but also to look inside to remove the jungle that I have allowed to accumulate from the past.
Whatever is within my own being is present because I've given it permission to be thee. Whatever is present in your own territory, house or room, you've given it permission to be there. Wherever you are, what you are surrounded by you have made that happen.
If someone offers me things of value let me accept them with love, place them in my heart and keep them and their value will grow. I'll look after them and share them with others. It's beautiful experience in life. However, when others throw rough harsh words.
Pebbles at me in the form of harsh words, for whatever reason, or perhaps even hurt me accidentally, I accept them too. The deep wound that result stays with me, but only because I gave it permission to remain. I allowed that stone to reach me, touch me and hurt me. At the time I didn't understands... it happened. But now, taking time to look inside myself, i see other result; a jungle, wounds, thorns, stones and within that, here and there, a little flower is struggling to grow, almost strangled by the weeds...
Deep within, beneath all the rubbish is something very beautiful. When I spend time in silence I discover that at the core of my being there are the treasures of peace, love and joy.

Find Security In God

Natutulog Ba Ang Diyos - by Gary Valenciano

Find Security In God - by Archbishop John Clement Favalora, We are experiencing the fear and uncertainty that most other countries in the world live with daily. There are countries beset by civil war. There are countries numbed by decades of terrorist acts. Where will we find security in this uncertain world? In one person alone: God. Jesus is the one certainty in our uncertain world. He is the way, the truth and the light.
Our faith should not be in gas masks or duct tape. Our faith should be in God. He alone can save us. He alone has promised us an afterlife without violence, without strife, without death. To him alone should we turn in our hour of need.
I firmly believe that God does listen to our prayers. So I would ask that you redirect your energies: Spend time in prayer. Many parishes have added rosaries, perpetual adoration and Masses for peace to their schedules. Find out which is nearest to you and stop by. Or make it a point, sometime during the day, to pause briefly and say a prayer. God is with us always. He alone can save us. May he hear our prayers.

5 Tips for Better Work-Life Balance

Bo Sanchez - Spiritual preacher and Motivational speaker.

""5 Tips for Better Work-Life Balance" by Sherry Rauh of WebMD

1. Figure out what really matters to you in Life. getting your priorities clear is the first and most essential step toward achieving a well-balanced life. The most important here is to figure out what you want your priorities to be, not what you think they should be.
2. Drop Unneccesary Activities. by making a concrete list of what really matters to you, you may discover you're devoting too much time to activities that aren't a priority, and you can adjust your schedule accordingly.
3. Protect Your Private Time. You would probably think twice before skipping out on work, a parent-teacher conference, or a doctor's appointment. Your private time deserves the same respect. "Carve out hours that contribute to yourself and your relationship" says Stevan Hobfoll, PhD, distinguished professor of psychology at Kent State University.
If work consistently interferes with your personal time, Hobfoll recommends discussing some adjustments with your boss. "There's a mythology in the workplace that more hours means more". Demonstrate that you can deliver the same or better results in fewer hours. Your job performance "should never be judged in terms of hours or input". Protecting your private time often leads to "greater satisfaction in both work life and personal life, greater productivity, and more creativity."
4. Accept Help to Balance Your Life. Allow yourself to rely on your partner, family members, or friends - anyone who can watch the kids or run an errand while you focus on other top priorities.
5. Plan Fun and Relaxation. Fun and relaxation are an essential part of living a well-balanced life. That's why Brown makes time for weekly guitar lessons, a yoga class, a date night with his wife, and a guy's night our a couple times a month. In addition, he exercises on a trampoline in his backyard most days of the week. How does he squeeze in all this playtime while running his business and sharing the responsibilities of raising a dauhter? "If you believe that the most important thing is to be happy in life (not when I'm a millionaire or when I retire but right now) then you can always make time."
Until you get into the habit of taking time for yourself, set aside space in your planner for relaxation and fun. Plan what you're going to do and make an necessary arrangements, such as childcare, to ensure you'll be able to keep your commitment. "Remember, you make time for what you want to make time for," Fortgang says. If something is important to you, don't brush it aside with a dismissive "I don't have time for that." You are in charge of your own schedule -- it's up to you to make time.

Use the Power of Patience

Bill FitzPatrick - Founder of the "American Success Institute".

Action Principle No.11 >> Use the Power of Patience, You can handle most problems because you know that only a little time stands between you and your goal. It may take twenty calls to make a sale. Be patient. It might take you five attempts to quit smoking or lose weight. It might take ten applications to get the job you really want. The point is that you try and keep trying until you succeed. Most people quit too soon. Be persistent. Be patient. Concentrate on your major goal until you have achieved it. It is not what you did yesterday. It is not what you may be doing today. It is what you are prepared to do every day. That one cold morning when you want to roll over but instead get up and go to the gym, is a defining moment.
Remember that all wealth, all businesses, all real estate and all treasures eventually pass from old hands to young. Be prepared. Your time is coming.

Be happy because God loves you. God carries you so that you can carry others. God will have the last word and it will be good.

Budgeting your money

Cony Sita - Sharing her experience about financial budget.

According to University of MaryLand, Credit cards, if used properly, can be useful and convenient, and can even help build a strong credit history that will help you with future activities like home-buying, paying for higher education, and even finding a job. Before you apply for a credit card, or allow your teenager to, consider the pros and cons.
PROS:
1. You can use a credit card to purchase a product or service that you need now but can't pay for all at once. For example, if your car breaks down, you may not have enough cash on hand for the repairs. A credit card can help you get your car fixed and on the road pay for the repairs over time.
2. Credit cards are often the only way to make airline, hotel, or rental car reservations.
3. Credit cards allow you to buy over the phone or online.
4. Carrying credit cards is safer than carrying cash.
5. Credit cards can be particularly useful in short-term emergencies.
6. Depending on your terms and conditions , your card give you purchase protection, travel insurance, frequent-flier miles, or cash back bonuses.
7. Using a credit card helps establish a positive credit history, as long as you use it wisely.
CONS:
1. Interest and fees may outweigh the financial benefits of frequent flier miles or other benefits.
2. Having a credit card makes it easy to spend money you don't have.
3. Bad credit debt could affect your future applications for mortgages, other installment loans - even job applications and insurance coverage.
4. If you think of your available credit as an emergency fund, you are likely to find yourself in more debt you can afford.
>>
There is nothing bad about having a credit card as long as you know how to limit your expenses and you know where you put the money. Are you putting it on a Good debt or in Bad debt? Don't buy things that don't gives back a return value, buy things that can multiply your borrowed money or savings. The idea of paying yourself first is the secret key to success and keep you out of debts.

When We Change, The World Change

Saint Joseph Institute of Technology - "Halibas, April" of Butuan City.

When We Change, The World Change, Many of us have gone through the crests and troughs of what life has to offer, and how often have we wished that what happened did not happen according to what we expected, or that what had happened should not happen again.
We may have experienced the death of a loved one, or the trauma of separation, or some other adversity of that have wrought pain and upheaval. We may have found ouvselves at a loss, looking for answers and perhaps, turning at the wrong curve-wine, women (or men) and song. Then we became trapped. Alone and lonely. We ask "Why?", "How come?", "What now we cry out for change?". "I don't want things to remain this way anymore. "People around me must change."And yet they don't. What then do we do? Where then do we go?
We just need to to take the simplest and shortest route-within. To journey within is sometimes odd and frighening, but only for a while. Just like going to an unfamiliar place alone and for the first time, the first step maybe accompanied by fear. We may tremble because we don't know what our new environment would be like.
In the sameway, the journey within can give us the jitters, or even tears, at first.
We just need a little kindness and patience with ourselves. We have learn to be "at home" with ourselves and then exploring deeper could undoubtedly be an exciting adventure.
The journey within is the road less travelled but one which can make us laugh and learn from our own foibles in Life. This is freedom-when we can smile and be happy with ourselves again.
Having taken a good look, we see things more clearly. We become more sensible and humble, accepting our own blunders and spiritual autism. We celebrate the freedom of Awakening! Life itself has an innate wisdom to teach us the lessons we need to learn.
Like a butterfly spreading its wings beyond the confines of its chrysalis, the journey within is taking a step away from the limits of our comfort zones and narrow spaces of our old ways of thinking. This, too is freedom-when we can break through the rigid walls of our own fears and negativity, often masked in ego.
Freedom enables us to see ourselves and to see the world around us with wonder. The expanse of beautiful possibilities opens up to us like mother's warm hug, lovingly assuring us that whatever has happened and is happenning is good and the best is yet to come.

Record Your Thoughts

Bill FitzPatrick - Founder of the "American Success Institute".

Action Principle No.10 >> Record Your Thoughts, Carry index cards, a hand-held computer or a small notebook. Borrow napkins to write on. As you become an action-oriented person, positive thoughts will occur with increasing regularity. Write down your ideas. You will have good ideas because you will have many ideas. Review your notes before your quiet time or before bed. You will become your own best therapist. You will see the ways to solving your own problems, finding your own route to happiness and realizing your own dreams. Spend most of your time thinking about solutions and not problems. Get back to recording your thoughts.
>>
This simple principle of Bill FitzPatrick is true based on my personal experience. Everytime I have something in mind that I think will help me give solutions to my problems, I immediately write it down on a piece of paper or encode to Excel file. Then, later on I will review that idea and try to implement to a certain situation where I repeatedly encountered. Really, it has an amazing result. In Life we encounter so many circumstances in different places, different situations but have you observed that the same experience or event happened to you on that day was very familiar with what happened to you many years ago? last month? last week? or even yesterday? If so, have you asked yourself how did you react with that same situation?
Writing down your ideas will give you more opportunities to choose and explore the possibilities that are so obvious in this World.

Christmas Countdown

Christmas in the Philippines, Christmas is the most awaited moment of many Filipinos especially kids who are expecting Gifts from their parents, friends, classmates, etc. For the Overseas workers, it is the time that we are longing to go back home and be with our loveones. No matter how difficult to get permission from our boss, managers, agents or employers due to busy schedules and work deadlines, We really do our best just to make sure that we can celebrate this important event with our kids, wife, husband and parents.
The Spirit of Christmas does not classify whether you are poor, middle-class or rich person. Christmas symbolizes the unconditional love of God to us. Also a reminder that we should be loving and generous enough to help other people and share our blessings to anyone who are less fortunate. The essence of Christmas should be always in our heart.

Jack Canfield cited in his book "The Success Principles" Believing in Yourself is an attitude, Believing in yourself is a choice. It is an attitude you develop over time. Although it helps if you had positive and supportive parents, the fact is that most of us run-of-the-mill parents who inadvertently passed on to us the same limiting beliefs and negative conditioning they grew up with.
But remember, the past is the past. There is no payoff for blaming them for your current level of self-confidence. It's now your responsibility to take charge of your own self-concept and your beliefs. You must choose to believe that you can do anything you set your mind to - anything at all - because, in fact, you can. It might help you to know that the latest brain research now indicates that with enough positive self-talk and positive visualization combined with the proper training, coaching, and practice, anyone can learn to do almost anything.

Think Like The Wealthy

Steve Peasley - Investing Adviser.

Reasons to Succeed by Ralph Marston, Surround yourself with reminders of reasons you have chose to do the work you do. Keep the thoughts of those reasons foremost in your mind.
Achievement never happens for its own sake. Achievement is build when there are solid, meaningful reasons behind it.
The only enduring impediment to success is the lack of reason for that success. Connect with a good reason, keep that connection strong, and you will find your way through whatever challenges you encounter.
When you have a reason, you have a stake in the outcome. When you have a reason, you're able to summon the discipline, commitment, persistence and creativity necessary to get the job done.
The best motivation is not to be found in some sophisticated secret technique or procedure. The best motivation is to constantly keep yourself in contact with your reasons.
Give yourself plenty of reasons to succeed. And you most assuredly will.

Common sense about Personal finance

>>
Joshua kennon cited in his article, Money, like water, expands to fill the container in which it is placed. If you lack an objective set of financial goals for your life, you probably reach the end of each month and find yourself broke. You vow that next month will be different, but it never is.
This scenario is certainly one with which millions of people can identify. Fortunately, it doesn't have to be that way. One of the most powerful and effective strategies for building wealth is to pay yourself first.
Start with your monthly bills. When you set down to pay your bills, the first check you write should be to yourself. Decide on an amount you can commit to for at least six months and immediately pay that "bill" by depositing the money into your brokerage, mutual fund, and retirement accounts. You must do this even if you cannot afford it! Then, pay your other bills as usual. If you find that you do not have enough money to cover all the expenses, write down the amount you are short and then find to raise the money. If this means you have to recycle cans, switch to an off-brand cereal, work a few extra hours, or cancel your magazine subscriptions.

How do you control your emotions?

Ron Davis - Motivational speaker.

The Way You Feel - by Ralph Marston, As you go through this day, make an effort to notice one small, insignificant little frustration that you'd normally get upset about. Then do yourself a favor, and simply let it go.
Experience, in that small way, the freedom of being in control of the way you feel. And realize that you can extend that control to every situation in which you find yourself.
The little things most certainly do not have to get you down. And neither do the big things.
At any moment, the way you feel is the way you choose to feel. The way you respond is the way you choose to respond.
Do you really wish to be under the control of those who do not have your best interest at heart? Of course you don't.
Base your feelings on the unique, valuable person you know you are, and on the positive possibilities available to you. Feel the genuine greatness of this moment, and you can bring it to life.

Make Today Special

Bill FitzPatrick - Founder of the "American Success Institute".

Action Principle No.9 >> Make Today Special, Many People enjoy using the first few minutes of the day for their reflective time. How did yesterday go? What do you want to accomplish today? What will be most important? This, of course, becomes your prioritized to-do list. How will today vary from your usual routine? Can you think of any small things that you can do? Perhaps there is something that you've been avoiding, that, if you do it, would make you feel especially proud of yourself.
Give each day a specific purpose. For unsuccessful, unhappy people, there is often a sameness to their days. Is it Monday or Thursday? Is it March or November? Is it 3 o'clock in the afternoon or 10 o'clock in the morning? They're in a rut and it doesn't matter.
Everybody has the same amount of time each day. How are you going to spend your 24 hours? Plan in advance. Make lists. Lists are your road map to personal accomplishment and balanced living. Always carry paper and pen. What are you doing today to ensure a better tomorrow for yourself and your family?

Steve Peasley, He is a doctor specializes in Family Medicine. Graduated at Georgetown University School of Medicine. Aside from that, he is also a Financial Advisor and is regularly giving his advices through InvestTalk radio.
Cited by William J. O'Neal, "Are some times better than others to start investing?" Any time is the right time. It takes most people a couple of years to really understand and learn to invest successfully. So it's important to get started in order to get the learning curve underway. You shouldn't wait until you get the perfect job or reach a certain age. You'll find that, with a bit of courage, preparation and determination, it can be well worth it.

Take Responsibility

Ron Davis - Motivational speaker.

8 Secrets of the Truly Rich - Chapter 3 "Stop Blaming Your Family for Your Poverty", Bo Sanchez narrated a story.
One day, I was talking to a mother in her 40s.
She told me, "I was born in a poor family. My father is poor, my mother is poor, our grandparents are poor, all our uncles and aunts are poor, even our dog is poor... That's why I'll be poor forever".
I shook my head and said, "There's a slight problem with your logic.
Do you know who else can say the exact same story?"
"Who?" she asked.
"Henry Sy, Lucio Tan, John Gokongwei..."
"But Bo, they're not counted!" she objected. "They're Chinese!"
"So? Even worse. At one point, they couldn't speak our language.
These three men started with manual labor. And except for Henry Sy who finished in Far Eastern University, the other two couldn't even finish college."
Henry Sy, a penniless 12-year-old boy when he arrived on the shores of the Philippines, is now owner of the SM empire and the 14th richest man in South East Asia.
Lucio Tan, who at one time owned nothing else but the shirt on his back, is now the richest industrialist in the country, and has a net worth of $1.5 billion.
John Gokongwei, former market vendor and bodegero, is now head of JG Summit, the largest conglomerate in the Philippines.
If you want to get out of poverty, nothing can stop you.
Not your corrupt government or your family lineage.
Stop blaming your family for your poverty.

Be Frugal

Bill FitzPatrick - Founder of the "American Success Institute".

Action Principle No.8 >> Be Frugal, Separate your wants from your needs. You want to work for all you need, not necessarily for all you want. You do not have to sentence yourself to a lifetime of hard labor for the false trappings of status. Living on less can eventually yield much more. The simpler you make your life, the easier it will be to maintain. Think in terms of moderation. It is easier to buy things than to sell them. You can make a comfortable life for yourself by finding contentment in the things you already have and holding reasonable expectations.
Be pragmatic. To build an investment bankroll, you can work more or you can spend less. Many people who write and stick to a household budget find that the simple act of thinking and organizing before spending can yield savings of between 10% - 15% of their earnings without seriously compromising their lifestyles. Give yourself a raise by being frugal.

Christmas Countdown

Please Come Home for Christmas. - Week 1 special

The word Christmas was originated as a contraction of "Christ's mass". It is derived from the Middle-English Christemasse and Old-English Cristes Maesse, a phrase first recorded in 1038. Compounded from Old-English derivatives of the Greek Christos and then Latin Missa. In early Greek versions of the New Testament, the letter X(Chi), is the first letter of Christ. Since the Mid-16th century X, or the similar Roman letter X, has been used as an abbreviation for Christ. Hence, Xmas is often used as an abbreviation for Christmas.
>>
Misa De Gallo. Traditionally, Christmas day in the Philippines is ushered in by the nine-day dawn masses that start on December 16. Known as the Misa De Gallo (Rooster's Mass) in the traditional Spanish and in Filipino as Simbang Gabi, or "Night Mass", this novena of Masses is the most important Filipino Christmas tradition.
These nine dawn Masses are also considered as a novena by the Catholic and Aglipayan faithfuls. This refers to the Roman Catholic and Aglipayan practice of performing nine days of private or public devotion to obtain special graces.
In some parishes, the Simbang Gabi begins as early as four o'clock in the morning. Going to mass this early for nine consecutive days is meant to show the church goer's devotion and faith as well as heighten anticipation of the Nativity of Jesus. In traditional Filipino belief, however completing the novena is also supposed to mean that God would grant the Devotee's special wish or a favour.
After hearing Mass, Filipino families partake of traditional Philippine Christmastime delicacies, either during breakfast at home, or immediately outside the church, where they are sold. Vendors offer a wealth of native delicacies, including Bibingka (rice flour and egg based cake, cooked using coals on top of and under the pastry), puto bumbong (a purple sticky rice delicacy which is steamed in bamboo tubes, with brown sugar and shredded dried coconut meat served as condiments) salabat (hot ginger tea) and tsokolate (thick Spanish cocoa).

"CHANGING CONDITIONS" by Ralph Marston, When conditions change for the worse, there is no need to despair. For you have the ability to respond.
With every new problem there are plenty of new opportunities. Every setback represents a new starting point from which you can raise yourself to higher levels of purposeful achievement.
Just because things have changed is no reason to give up. In fact, that makes your worthwhile goal even more valuable.
There is always a way to get where you have to chosen to go. Each challenge gives you new ways to add value to your dream.
Always, life is overwhelmingly abundant. When conditions change, you have the chance to see aspects of that abundance that you did not previously know were there.
Pause for a moment, take a deep breath, assess the situation, and re-focus yourself on the path you have chosen. Then step boldly and enthusiastically forward with more positive determination than ever.
