Decide what to improve on. From Principle 20 of The Success Principles by Jack Canfield, At work, your goal might be for your company to improve the quality of your product or service, your customer service program, or your advertising. Professionally you might want to improve your computer skills, your typing speed, your sales skills, or your negotiating skills. At home you might want to improve your parenting skills, communication skills, or cooking skills.
You could also focus on improving your health and fitness, your knowledge of investing and money management, or your piano playing. Or perhaps you want to develop greater inner peace through meditation, yoga, and prayer. Whatever your goal, decide where you want to improve and what steps you'll need to take to achieve that improvement.
Is it learning a new skill? Perhaps you can find that in a night class at the local community college. If it's improving your service to the community, perhaps you can find a way to spend an extra hour per week volunteering.
To keep yourself focused on constant and never-ending improvement, ask yourself every day, "How can I /we improve today? What can I/we do better than before? Where can I learn a new skill or develop a new competency?" If you do, you'll embark on a lifelong of improvement that will sure your success.

Gratitude, Abundance and Thanksgiving

Abundance Mentality. From Habit 4 "Think Win/Win" by Stephen Covey, The third character trait essential to Win/Win is the Abundance Mentality, the paradigm that there is plenty out there for everybody.
Most people are deeply scripted in what I call the Scarcity Mentality. They see life as having only so much, as though there were only one pie out there. And if someone were to get a big piece of the pie, it would mean less for everybody else. The Scarcity Mentality is the zero-sum paradigm of life.
People with a Scarcity Mentality have a very difficult time sharing recognition and credit, power or profit - even with those who help in the production. They also have a very hard time being genuinely happy for the successes of other people - even, and sometimes especially, members of their own family or close friends and assosciates. It's almost as if something is being taken from them when someone else receives special recognition or windfall gain or has remarkable success or achievement.
Although they might verbally express happiness for others' success, inwardly they are eating their hearts out. Their sense of worth comes from being compared, and someone else's success, to some degree, means their failure. Only so many people can be "A" students; only one person can be "number one." To "win" simply means to "beat".
Often, people with a Scarcity Mentality harbor secret hopes that others might suffer misfortune - not terrible misfortune, but acceptable misfortune that would keep them "in their place." The're always comparing, always competing. They give their energies to possessing things or other people in order to increase their sense of worth.
They want other people to be the way they want them to be. They often want to clone them, and they surround themselves with "yes" people - people who won't challenge them, people who are weaker than they.
It's difficult for people with a Scarcity Mentality to be members of a complementary team. They look on differences as signs of insubordination and disloyalty.
The Abundance Mentality, on the other hand, flows out of a deep inner sense of personal worth and security. It is the paradigm that there is plenty out there and enough to spare for everybody. It results in sharing of prestige, of recognition, of profits, of decision making. It open possibilities, options, alternatives, and creativity.
Furthermore, the Abundance Mentality is not selfish, not critics, not negative thinker, but a person with action and willing to share their blessings to other people. Blessings that God has given to them.

Financial Problem

Have you romanticized Poverty? From 8 Secrets of the Truly Rich by Bo Sanchez- Chapter 16, Religion can romanticize poverty. We can receive this message. "To be poor is better than to be rich. It's more pleasing to God. He favors the poor. Poor people go to heaven. Rich people go to hell."
If you believe in this philosophy, then goodness, why in the world would anyone even think of becoming rich?
Yes, it's true that God favors the poor. And it's true that the Bible says, "Blessed are the poor" (Luke 6:20). But I believe God loves the poor and accompanies them in their difficult journey so that they can rise from their poverty. Not so that they can remain in their poverty!
It's foolish to romanticize poverty. Whoever says being poor is romantic is out of his mind. When I was 15 years old, I lived and ministered in the slums - and telling you, there's nothing romantic about it.
I lived in a house with nine other people. And we all slept in one single room that's about the size of your office cubicle.
We also shared the dark, damp, muddy toilet with four other families. (Can you imagine how interesting my mornings were lining up for it?) I ate their food and lived their life.
The entire area was flooded nine months of the year. Stagnant water reached my knees. I remember seeing an entire army of mosquitoes living, eating, partying, laughing, making love and hatching millions of eggs around us. It may have been romantic for the mosquitoes, but it wasn't romantic for us.
And there's nothing romantic about the baby I heard crying in the middle of the night because her mother had no money to buy milk.
There's nothing romantic about the old man I met next door who needed a doctor because of severe pneumonia, but his family couldn't even pay for the jeepney fare to the hostpital.
There's nothing romantic about the almost weekly stabbings in the street because of rampant drug addiction.
Poverty is evil. And God wants us to get rid of it. You also need to get rid of it in your life- so that you can get rid of it in the lives of others.

Choices - Inspiration and Motivation

Brilliant Reader

Be clear why you're here.

Cited by Jack Canfield, I believe each of us is born with a life purpose. Identifying, acknowledging, and honoring this purpose is perhaps the most important action successful people take. They take the time to understand what they're here to do - and then they pursue that with passion and enthusiasm.
Reflecting from what Jack Canfield been said and looking back to my past, after almost 4 years of working here in Japan I never realized that my passion and purpose is not only in my work, but also to make other people smile and happy. I've been in Yokohama for 2 years, in Tokyo for 1 year and now completing my another year here in Okinawa.
Last weekend, I was invited to visit the place of my Japanese colleague "on the left is Maehara san with his son Mikoto chan", to join and meet his parents and to experience their traditional festival called "Eissa" which means to rejoice and ask for long life.
When I met his parents, I felt shy because they didn't notice that I am a foreigner until my colleague explained to his mom and dad that I am a Filipino. They were surprised because they thought I am just a typical okinawan guy. Yes, if you will come and experience to visit Okinawa it is really similar to Philippines. Not only you can see typical Okinawan faces which is very similar to Filipino, but also you can see the similarity in terms of environment, attitude, being hospitable and generous.
I stayed in their house for 2 days and 1 night, watched the traditional dance festival, went to natural park, talked to them and shared about their culture and traditions, joined to eat lunch and dinner with them, talked to "Otosan" (father) and "Okasan" (mother) as if they were my real parents, cooked and let them taste my favorite "Tinola" a filipino dish.
That night is one of the most unforgettable moments in my Life. I felt very welcome and treated as part of their family. "Otosan" always told me to visit them as frequent as I can and join with them, that he even told me to bring my family to visit them. Somehow, I realized that being good to other people and let them experience your sincerity will give you back life satisfaction. Satisfaction that you will even feel that you really exist in this world, that you are not useless, that you are created not because of yourself, but because there are many people who needs your existence.

Ideas and Reality

All things are created twice. "Begin with the end in mind" is based on the principle that all things are created twice. There's a mental or first creation, and a physical or second creation to all things.
Take the construction of a home, for example. You create it in every detail before you ever hammer the first nail into place. You try to get a very clear sense of what kind of house you want. If you want a family-centered home, you plan to put a family room where it would be a natural gathering place. You plan sliding doors and a patio for children to play outside. You work with ideas. You work with your mind until you get a clear image of what you want to build.
Then you reduce it to blueprint and develop construction plans. All of this is done before the earth is touched. If not, then in the second creation, the physical creation, you will have to make expensive changes that may double the cost of your home.
The carpenter's rule is "measure twice, cut once." You have to make sure that the blueprint, the first creation, is really what you want, that you've thought everything through. Then you put it into bricks and mortar. Each day you go to the construction shed and pull out the blueprint to get marching orders for the day. You begin with the end in mind.
If you want to have a successful enterprise, you clearly define what you're trying to accomplish. You carefully think through the product or service you want to provide in terms of your market target, then you organize all the elements - financial, research and development, operations, marketing, personnel, physical facilities, and so on - to meet that objective. The extent to which you begin the end in mind often determines whether or not you are able to create a successful enterprise. Most business failures begin in the first creation, with problems such as undercapitalization, misunderstanding, of the market, or lack of a business plan.
The same is true with parenting. If you want to raise responsible, self-disciplined children, you have to keep that end clearly in mind as you interact with your children on a daily basis. You can't behave toward them in ways that undermine their self-discipline or self-esteem.
To varying degrees, people use this principle in many different areas of life. Before you go on a trip, you determine your destination and plan out the best route. Before you plant a garden, you plan it out in your mind, possibly on paper. You create speeches on paper before you give them, you envision the landscaping in your yard before you landscape it, you design the clothes you make before you thread the needle. - Stephen Covey on Habit #2, Begin with the end in mind.

From the book "8 Secrets of the Truly Rich", Bo Sanchez wrote a story to explain how exponential income works and it goes like this...
Henry Hungry is applying for a job. He walks into this nice office and meets a well-dressed fellow behind the desk. Henry smiles and asks him, "Sir, is there a job here for me?" The man says, "I'm actually looking for a general manager. You need to sign a contract for three years. Interested?" "Hmm. Sorry for being upfront, but how much will I earn?" Henry Hungry asks. The man says, "I'll let you choose your salary. Do you want P30,000 a month or one centavo doubled every month?" Henry Hungry is mildly shocked by this unorthodox offer. "Run that by me again please", he says, getting his cell phone to calculate.
The man chuckles. "Option #1 is I pay you P30,000 a month for 36 months. Option #2 is I pay you one centavo on the first month and I double it every month for 36 months". Henry starts calculating. "Option #2 is interesting. If I choose that, I earn one centavo on the first month, two centavos on the second month, four centavos on the third month, eight centavos on the fourth month, 16 centavos on the fifth month, 32 centavos on the sixth month... after 12 months of working with you, I would have received a total of.. sheesh, P23! Sir, I need the money badly. I choose Option #1 where I earn P30,000 flat each month. By the first year, I'd already have earned P360,000. And after three years, that would total to P1 million. I definitely choose Option #1.
"Okay, if that's what you want." Then the man asks, "By the way, if you chose Option #2, do you know how much you'll earn by the end of three years?" "I didn't finishing computing that option. It's too depressing." The man calculates in front of Henry Hungry. "On the first month, you receive one centavo, on the second month, you receive two centavos... "He goes on and on, and Henry doesn't mind him too much. He's too focused on the P1 million he'll be earning in three years. He feels pretty good about himself. Finally, the man looks up and shows Henry Hungry the calculator. "In 36 month, you would have earned P680 Million. You exchanged that for one million. I'm sorry, my friend, I can't take you as my general manager. Your decision-making skills are terrible." The figure shows that Option #1 will just give him P1 million+ using P30,000 fixed amount in 36 months, and Option #2 will give him P680 million+ using exponential interest.
Being knowledgeable on how and where you will put your hard-earned money will bring you to financial freedom. Why do we need to work? to earn money to be able to support our daily financial needs, but how if for some reason we suddenly stop or unable to work? Being smart in handling your money will free up yourself from working over and over and over until you reach the age of 60. Have you imagined at the age of 60 you are still in the same situation as what you are now? Now, the choice will depend on us..

Write a Personal Mission Statement - Part 2

Your inner global positioning system. cited by Jack Canfield, The process of getting from where you are to where you want to be is like using the navigational system with GPS (Global Positioning System) technology in a newer-model car. For the system to work, it simply needs to know where you are and where you want to go. The navigation system figures out where you are by the use of an onboard computer that receives signals from three satellites and calculates your exact position. When you type in your destination, the navigational system plots a perfect course for you. All you have to do is follow the instructions.
Success in life works the same way. All you have to do is decide where you want to go by clarifying your vision, lock in the destination through goal-setting, affirmations, and visualization, and start moving in the right direction. Your inner GPS will keep unfolding your route as you continue to move forward. In other words, once you clarify and stay focused on your vision, the exact steps will keep appearing along the way. Once you are clear about what you want and keep your mind constantly focused on it, the how will keep showing up - sometimes just when you need it and not a moment earlier. To create a balanced and successful life, your vision needs to include the following areas: work and career, finances, spiritual, recreation and free time, health and fitness, relationships, personal goals, and contribution to the larger community.

Divide and Conquer

Chunk it down. The secret of getting ahead is getting started. The secret of getting started is breaking your complex, overwhelming tasks into small manageable tasks, and then starting on the first one. - Mark Twain
Sometimes our biggest life goals seem so overwhelming. We rarely see them as a series of small, achievable tasks, but in reality, breaking down a large goal into smaller tasks - and accomplishing them one at a time - is exactly how any big goal gets achieved. So after you have decided what you really want and set measurable goals with specific deadlines, the next step is to determine all of the individual action steps you will need to take to accomplish your goal. It is not difficult to achieve your goal as long as you know where and how you will start.

Og Mandino

The Greatest Secret in the World... Free up your mind, Listen and Reflect.

Practice Persistence. Persistence is probably the single most common quality of high achievers. It is where you start achieving your goal. They simply refuse to give up. The longer you hang in there, the greater the chance that something will happen in your favor. No matter how hard it seems, the longer you persist the more likely your success. Don't be easily stumble of the difficulties you've encountered.
It's not always going to be easy, Sometimes you are going to have to persist in the face of obstacles - unseen obstacles - that no amount of planning or forethough could have predicted. Sometimes, you'll encounter what seem like overwhelming odds. And sometimes, the universe will test your commitment to the goal you're pursuing. The going may be hard, requiring you to refuse to give up while you learn new lessons, develop new parts of yourself, and make difficult decisions. Yes in the midst of difficulties we often feel we are failure, but converting that into a positive outlook simply means your success have just started.
"History has demonstrated that the notable winners usually encountered heartbreaking obstacles before they triumphed. They won because they refused to become discouraged by their defeats. - B.C Forbes - Founder of Forbes Magazine"

Marcia Wieder

Brilliant Emulator - Finding your Passion.

Filled with Passion. When you are filled with spirit, you are naturally inspired and passionate. Sometimes that passion expresses itself in a dynamic and energetic way, like the hustle of a champion athlete who is "on fire." Passionate people are enthusiastic. They can't wait to get up in the morning and get started. They are eager and energetic. They are filled with purpose and totally committed to their mission. This kind of passion comes from loving and enjoying your work. It comes from doing what you were born to do. It comes from following your heart and trusting your joy as a guide. Enthusiasm and passion come as a result of caring about what you do. If you love your work, if you enjoy it, you're already a success.
cited by Jack Canfield, Another key to passion and enthusiasm is to reconnect with your original purpose for doing anything that you do. When you look underneath the surface of the things that feel like have-tos rather than want-tos, you'll almost always find that there is a deeper purpose that you are passionate about.
"Enthusiasm is one of the most powerful engines of success. When you do a thing, do it with all your might. Put your whole soul into it. Stamp it with your own personality. Be active, be energetic, be enthusiastic and faithful, and you will accomplish your object. Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm. - Ralph Waldo Emerson - American essayist and poet"

Maintain a Positive Mental Attitude

Believe in yourself. You weren't an accident. You weren't mass produced. You aren't an assembly-line product. You were deliberately planned, specifically gifted, and lovingly positioned on the Earth by the Master Craftsman. - MAX LUCADO Best-selling author.
If you are going to be successful in creating the life of your dreams, you have to believe that you are capable of making it happen. You have to believe that you have the right stuff, that you are able to pull it off. You have to believe in yourself. Whether you call it self-esteem, self-confidence, or self-assurance, it is a deep-seated belief that you have what it takes - the abilities, inner resources, talents, and skills to create your desired results.
Believing in yourself is an attitude and is a choice. It is an attitude you develop over time. Although it helps if you had positive and supportive parents, the fact is that most of us had run-of-the-mill parents who inadvertently passed on to us the same limiting beliefs and negative conditioning they grew up with.
But remember, the past is the past. There is no payoff for blaming them for your current level of self-confidence. It's now your responsibility to take charge of your own self-concept and your beliefs. You must choose to believe that you can do anything you set your mind to - anything at all - because, in fact, you can. It might help you to know that the latest brain research now indicates that with enough positive self-talk and positive visualization combined with the proper training, coaching, and practice, anyone can learn to do almost anything. - cited by Jack Canfield
What others think about you is none of your business. According to Venus Williams, You have to believe in yourself when no one else does. That's what makes you a winner.
If having others believing in you and your dream was a requirement for success, most of us would never accomplish anything. You need to base your decisions about what you want to do on your goals and desires - not the goals, desires, opinions, and judgments of your parents, friends, spouse, children, and coworkers. Quit worrying what other people think about you and follow your heart.
Most of the time, nobody's thinking about you at all! They are too busy worrying about their own lives, and if they are thinking about you at all, they are wondering what you are thinking about them. People think about themselves, not you. Think about it - all the time you are wasting worrying about what other people think about your ideas, your goals, your clothes, your shoes, your hair, and your home would all be better spent on thinking about and doing the things that will achieve your goals and help you prepare towards the abundant future.

A frequent television and radio guest, Allen has appeared on several programs, including Good Morning America and Larry King Live. He has also been featured in such national publications as The Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, Barron's, Money, and Reader's Digest. He lives in the San Diego area.

As cited by Jack Canfield,The process of visualizing for success is really quite simple. All you have to do is close your eyes and see your goals as already complete.
If one of your objectives is to own a nice house on the lake, then close your eyes and see yourself walking through the exact house you would like to own. Fill in all of the details. What does the exterior look like? How is it landscaped? What kind of view does it have? What do the living room, kitchen, master bedroom, dining room, family room, and den look like? How is it furnished? Go from room to room and fill in all of the details.
Make the images as clear and bright as possible. This goes for any goal you make - whether it's in the area of work, play, family, personal finances, relationships, or philanthropy. Write down each of your goals and objectives, then review them, affirm them, and visualize them everyday.
When you visualize your goals as already completed each and every day, it creates a conflict in your subconscious mind between what you are visualizing and what you currently have. Your subconscious mind tries to resolve that conflict by turning your current reality into the new, more exciting vision.

Difference between Rich Dad and Poor Dad

Become conscious about your money. Most people are unconscious when it comes to their money. For instance, do you know your net worth - your total assets minus your total liabilities? Do you know how much money you have in savings? Do you know exactly what your fixed and variable monthly expenses are? Do you know the total amount of debt you are carrying and the amount of money you are spending a year on interest payments? Do you know if you are adequately insured? Do you have a financial plan? Do you have an estate plan? Do you have a will? Is it up to date?
If you want to be truly financially successful, you have to get conscious. Not only do you have to know precisely where you are but you also need to know exactly where you want to go and what's required to get you there. You cannot say that I am a successful professional of whatever degrees you have, but without a bright vision of where you want to go, it doesn't make sense at all. So, carefully re-examine your own understanding of success in the reality of Life brings to us from generation to generation. It's not too late but now is the right time.

Brilliant Emulator - Take 100% Responsibility for your Life

If you want to be successful in life, you have to take 100% responsibility for everything that you experience in your life. This includes the level of your achievements, the results you produce, the quality of your relationships, the state of your health and physical fitness, your income, your debts, your feelings - everything.
You only have control over three things in your life - the thoughts you think, the images you visualize, and the actions you take (your behavior). How you use these three things determines everything you experience. If you don't like what you are producing and experiencing, you have to change your responses. Change your negative thoughts to positive ones. Change what you daydream about. Change your habits. Change what you read. Change how you talk.
