Become conscious about your money. Most people are unconscious when it comes to their money. For instance, do you know your net worth - your total assets minus your total liabilities? Do you know how much money you have in savings? Do you know exactly what your fixed and variable monthly expenses are? Do you know the total amount of debt you are carrying and the amount of money you are spending a year on interest payments? Do you know if you are adequately insured? Do you have a financial plan? Do you have an estate plan? Do you have a will? Is it up to date?

If you want to be truly financially successful, you have to get conscious. Not only do you have to know precisely where you are but you also need to know exactly where you want to go and what's required to get you there. You cannot say that I am a successful professional of whatever degrees you have, but without a bright vision of where you want to go, it doesn't make sense at all. So, carefully re-examine your own understanding of success in the reality of Life brings to us from generation to generation. It's not too late but now is the right time.
